Dishes From the Past is a Texas-based retail company
that specializes in discontinued china, pottery, and crystal by hundreds of major manufacturers, including Lenox, Royal Doulton, Noritake, and Wedgwood. Working
out of their 6,000 sq. ft. store in Fort Worth, Dishes takes orders for products and ships rare and antique dishware around the country.
The Solution Associates, Inc. (TSA), partnering with SavvyDog Design, created a beautiful
website to show off Dishes' china and crystal products. By connecting the web site to their accounting system, we
provided a solution to receive orders without the additional labor costs and time delays related to a transfer and import process.
It has enabled them to automatically update their quickly changing inventory to insure that products displayed on the
website are actually available for sale. TSA also added a “Mix and Match” page which allows Dishes to create
unique combinations of complementary china from different patterns and display them for sale on the website.
The Dishes' Bridal Registry is another innovation developed by TSA to support the special marketing niche of Dishes From the Past.
Internal management programs and forms allow the Dishes’ personnel to manage their site on their own, thus reducing the
ongoing costs of updating and maintaining a web site.
