CHARLES STRANGE, President

Charles Strange was born in Durham, North Carolina and moved up and down the east coast until his family settled in Newton, Massachusetts. He attended Carnegie Mellon University for theatre, worked professionally as an actor for a short period, and then graduated Magnum Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Boston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. This interest in logic and the need for word processing propelled him into the world of computers.

He has over twenty-five years of experience in the computer industry and has worked with over fifty different computer manufacturers, including ten different operating system and three different types of networking environments. He is proficient in .Net ASPX, SQL, Oracle, ASP, PHP, Perl, Basic, C+, Java, C#, Pascal, Clipper, dBase and several device specific languages. Charlie is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Charlie has been married to his wife Leslie for over twenty-five years and is the proud parent of two grown children.

CRAIG HARTFIELD, Partner

Craig Hartfield was born in South Carolina and raised in Rochester, MN. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Stout and studied Psychology and Business Administration. He moved to Tampa in 1989 and received a Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering. While finishing his degree, he began working for Innovative Data Systems where his primary responsibility was computer construction and repair. In the ten years before coming to The Solution Associates, he worked with three other technical companies doing Computer Assembly, Network Installations, Technical Support, and Access Development.

In 1999, Craig met Charlie Strange while they were performing together on stage. Charlie couldn't help but be overwhelmed by Craig's charm, wit, and vast intelligence. He begged Craig to join him, and Craig acquiesced, joining The Solution Associates just in time to help Charlie fight the evil of the year 2000 (Y2K). Craig has now been a partner in the Solution Associates for ten years and enjoys the challenge of helping small companies discover their potential profitability through software development.

In Craig's spare time he likes to spend time with his wife and children and is active in community theater.

BRIAN HUKILL, Partner

Brian Hukill was born on Lajas Air Force Base in the Azores Islands, Portugal and was raised in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Beginning in 1988, he worked for Cinema Centers Corporation as a Branch Manager and then for NCS Healthcare as a Customer Service Manager and a Branch Manager. In 1999, Brian came to work with The Solution Associates, Inc. as a computer consultant and progammer. His duties include consulting , programming, inventory control, and purchasing, among others.

Brian currently lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife Debby and their two children. When not working, Brian likes to jog, camp, and play online games.

MARK HARTFIELD, Programmer & Consultant

Mark Hartfield began working with The Solution Associates in 2003, starting as an IT and network consultant and working his way into programming. Mark’s background includes working in management positions for various companies throughout the U.S., including a stint as a Technical Supervisor and Show Director for Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Mark’s specialty with TSA includes the layout of programs and the user interface for products to make them both aesthetically pleasing and accessible. Working with the team, Mark uses skills gained through experience working in both small and large businesses and degrees in Communications and the Arts to help create practical, functional programs. Mark holds a B.A. in Speech/Communications from Wheaton College in Illinois and a M.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Brandeis University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mark lives with his family in Lakeland, Florida and spends his free time enjoying the social and gaming experiences that the internet has to offer as well as working in theatre and entertainment.
